WHY GIRLS FLAG

Driven by the leadership of Hannah McNair and the commitment of the Houston Texans, Girls Flag Football is creating new pathways for young athletes across Texas and beyond.

We believe every girl deserves the chance to get in the game. In 2023, we launched our official Girls FLAG League, presented in partnership with Houston Methodist, to put young female athletes front and center in the youth football world — opening the game to every girl and creating a powerful path toward lasting opportunity.

We are building a movement that lifts athletes, inspires communities, engages policy makers, and earns the game the respect it deserves. The time is now. The field is hers. She's Next.

Women’s Flag Football isn’t a novelty. It’s a legitimate sport! When she say she wants to play – believe her. When she says she can win – believe her. She’s not waiting anymore. At the Houston Texans we are leading the charge to bring girls flag to the forefront – not just to open the door, but to break it down. We believed in her before the world caught up. Now, the world is watching her. Flag football is surging. It’s Olympic-bound. It’s unstoppable. And she’s leading it – fast, fierce, and fearless. We believe She’s Next. The next leader in her class. The next leader in her community. The next leader to change the world. She’s waited long enough.

The time is now. The field is hers. She’s Next.
